Zac D. Anderson
Zac Anderson has over eight years of experience in the accounting industry, all focusing on taxation. He joined Holbrook & Manter in 2016 and currently is a director within the firm’s tax and private wealth groups. Zac works on a variety in areas but mainly focuses on closely-held businesses, individual tax, tax planning, professional athletes and non-profits. Zac enjoys talking with his clients about their tax planning needs and creating solutions to meet those needs.
Before joining H&M Zac interned with Deloitte and the Ohio Department of Taxation. Upon graduating from The Ohio State University, he wanted to explore other occupational interest and took a rotational management position with an industrial distributor. After the two-year program ended, he realized accounting was his passion and returned to the field of public accounting.
Zac became a licensed CPA in 2019 and is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). He is a graduate of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce Elevate CBUS leadership program.

Robert A. Buckley
Bob has been with Holbrook & Manter since 1979, primarily focusing on Tax Services and the Business Services and Solutions Group. He has 40 years experience in public accounting with a concentration in healthcare, including ambulatory surgery centers and physician and medical practices (single and multi-specialty). He is well versed in the accounting and tax for our healthcare clients. Bob is also involved in the firm’s quality and peer review program.
Bob works closely with the Firm’s Health Care Services Team, addressing physician compensation strategies as well as ownership modeling. He also specializes in compilation, review and management consulting.
Bob has his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio Northern University. Bob is very involved in the community and serves on several Corporate Boards. He also is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, the Medical Group Management Association, the Healthcare Financial Managerial Association and the Ohio Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

Danielle L. Cottle
Danielle has been with Holbrook & Manter since 2007 when she started as an intern in the Marysville office. Danielle’s career has grown over the years at H&M as she is currently a Director focusing on the areas of Business Services & Solutions (BSST) and Corporate Tax.
For the past twelve years, her expertise has been in helping closely held businesses with a variety of accounting and business needs. Her focus areas are Outsourced Accounting services, accounting software setup and training including QuickBooks and Xero, Financial Statement preparation and compilations, Payroll and Corporate Tax. She is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor with active certifications in Online, Desktop and Enterprise versions.
Danielle enjoys working onsite with her clients to assist them with their accounting needs and to help identify efficiencies and best practices. Danielle serves business owners in a diverse array of industries and states of their business from startups to well-established international companies. Her industry focus areas include manufacturing, professional service and family/closely held businesses.

Bryan M. Davidson
Bryan joined Holbrook and Manter in 2012 and has over 15 years of experience in public accounting. He
has specialized in tax for the past 14 years and is currently a tax manager at Holbrook and Manter. He
serves clients in a variety of industries including: construction, cost segregation, healthcare,
manufacturing, professional services, real estate, non-profit and restaurants.
Bryan grew up in Northern Ohio about 40 minutes west of Cleveland. After college he accepted his first
public accounting position at a local firm in Independence. This position allowed Bryan to get
experience in all areas of public accounting including tax and audit. He then accepted another public
accounting position at a large regional firm in Columbus. This position began his focus in tax and he has
remained in this area since. Many years later he joined Holbrook and Manter and currently resides in
Marysville with his wife and two sons.
Bryan attended The Ohio State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
(AICPA) and the Ohio Society of CPAs.

Colleen M Dennis
Colleen joined H&M in 2023. Prior to joining H&M, Colleen was a partner in a local CPA firm located in northeast Ohio.
With over 35 years of experience in public accounting, her area of focus has been in accounting and tax, with a concentration in the not-for-profit area. However, she serves clients in a variety of industries.
In the tax area, she is experienced in preparing returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, corporations, S corporations and tax-exempt organizations. She also has significant experience in performing audit and review procedures.
Colleen is a graduate of Walsh University and received her CPA license in 1993. She is a member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of CPA’s.

Linda S. Fargo
Linda has been with Holbrook & Manter since 1997, focusing on the area of Tax. Linda has over 40 years of experience in all areas of public accounting. As the Tax Manager, her expertise encompasses all areas of tax.
Linda came to Holbrook & Manter with several years of experience from working in tax and auditing for other public accounting firms in various states as well as a few non-profits. Her years at Holbrook and Manter, as well as her prior experiences, have given her a wide range of tax knowledge with special emphasis on individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, trusts and estates.
Linda received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Linda is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). She is active in her church where she serves as Treasurer as well as the Marion Palace Theatre where she performs onstage and volunteers offstage.

Carmen M. George
Carmen has been with H &M since 2008. She is currently the Director of Healthcare Services
With over 20 years of experience in public accounting her area of focus has been accounting, consulting and tax for the healthcare industry. Her focus over her career in accounting has been work with ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices and physicians. Her ability to guide them and work through their entire financial process from accounting services, revenue cycle analysis, budget assistance to tax planning and preparation, make her a valuable tool for the center and practice owners. It is not uncommon to find Carmen seated at the table of a board meeting or for her to be present at various vital meetings held by her clients. Carmen is dedicated to going the extra mile to understand the overall needs and goals of those she works with.
Carmen is a graduate of the Ohio State University. She also passed the exam and became a Certified Public Accountant. Carmen is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPA, the Ohio Society of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, the Healthcare Financial Managerial Association and the Medical Group Management Association

David J. Gruber
David J. Gruber joined Holbrook & Manter, CPA’s in January, 2016. As the Director of Risk Advisory Services, Dave’s main areas of focus are Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance services, SOC reporting services, and internal control assessment projects.
Dave has over 30 years of experience in accounting, financial, and consulting roles. Dave is the former President of DJG Financial Consulting, LLC, where he spent nearly a decade in various consulting roles focusing substantially on SOX compliance and part-time Chief Financial Officer duties. His experience includes both large public companies, privately held companies, and non-profit organizations. Dave has also served as a Trustee for four mutual fund complexes, as well as a Board Member for one non-profit organization. Also, in 2018, he was appointed as a Board Member for the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio. His career started with PricewaterhouseCoopers, a certified public accounting firm.
Dave graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy, is an active CPA registered in Ohio, and is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s.

Tracy M. Kaufman
Tracy joined Holbrook & Manter in 2020, primarily focusing on the area of tax. She is currently a director and serves clients in a variety of industries, including: professional services, healthcare, real estate, and closely-held businesses.
Tracy received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining Holbrook & Manter. Tracy worked at one of the big 4 accounting firms then a regional firm in Dublin.
Tracy enjoys talking with her clients about their tax planning needs and creating solutions to meet those needs. She is experienced in preparing returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations. Justin T. Linscott
Justin has been with Holbrook & Manter since 2005, focusing on all areas of tax. Justin’s industry focus areas include healthcare, specialty industries, estate and trust planning, and, as a whole, family / closely held businesses. Justin also serves as an advisor to current and retired professional athletes with varying sports backgrounds. Justin is a NFLPA Registered Player Financial Advisor.
Since joining H&M, Justin has gained extensive experience with taxation as well as with the firm’s audit and assurance teams. Justin’s expertise focus encompasses all areas of tax, with special emphasis on high-net-worth families, estate and gift tax law, fiduciary taxation, individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Justin currently shares his knowledge and expertise as the president of the nationally recognized CPA exam review course, MDS CPA Review. In the past Justin spent time at Ohio Wesleyan University as an adjunct professor.
Justin is relentlessly passionate about solving the complex tax needs of our clients with unequaled quality, passion and professionalism. He is often sought out and regularly referred to by various professionals for his knowledge and experience in tax and especially with estate planning and fiduciary taxation. Justin is often recognized for his talents and the contributions he makes to the community. He is a member of the Forty Under 40 Class of 2016. Jennifer M. Linz
Jen joined Holbrook & Manter in 2018, primarily focusing on the area of Tax. She is currently a manager and serves clients in a variety of industries, including: professional services, healthcare, real estate, and closely-held businesses.
Jen received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Soon thereafter, Jen continued her education by attending Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law in Ada, Ohio. While in law school, Jen’s specialization was on tax law. She graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree and is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
Since graduating law school, Jen has worked in public accounting with a concentration in the area of tax. She is experienced in preparing returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations. E. Frederick Manter
Fred has been with Holbrook & Manter since 1974, participating in all of the Firm’s service areas. Fred currently focuses on Tax compliance and Management Advisory Services within several industries: agri-business, insurance, non-profit, automotive dealerships, construction, manufacturing, medical practices and ancillary services. He also provides financial, tax and estate planning services for individuals and closely-held enterprises. In addition, Fred provides investment management for high net worth individuals and their families.
Fred’s professional experience prior to joining H&M was with the Columbus office of Haskins & Sells (currently Deloitte), a national accounting firm. He was responsible for closely-held business relationships and engagements requiring filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Molly L. Pensyl
Molly has been with Holbrook & Manter since 2014. Molly focuses on the firm’s branding, advertising, public relations and media efforts. She also oversees all marketing efforts, firm websites, content creation and social media. Client service and retention as well as the firm’s overall growth are also areas of focus for her.
Molly brings several years of experience working in various corners of media, journalism, advertising sales and marketing to H&M. She has a vast background in creating messaging and marketing campaigns for a variety of businesses. She loves that her job allows her to have laser focus on the marketing efforts for just one entity- H&M! Much of Molly’s career has been spent in the areas of client service as well, so she understands and values the fact that client satisfaction should always be a top priority.
Molly holds a degree in journalism from Otterbein University. Molly has also completed the Digital Marketing Professional Certification offered through the Wharton School of Business Online. She has also earned the Fundamentals of Digital Marketing certification from Google.
Volunteering and involvement are important to Molly. She served two three-years terms on the board for the Tri-Village Chamber Partnership, the chamber of commerce serving the Upper Arlington, Grandview and Marble Cliff areas. In addition to sitting on the board, she served as the membership committee chair. She is a former board member and proud supporter of Kitchen Kapers, a non-profit organization that raises funds for integrative cancer care through Ohio Health. She is also active in the Upper Arlington community, volunteering at her children’s schools, her church and supporting other community efforts.

Brian E. Ravencraft
Brian has been with Holbrook & Manter since 1995, primarily focusing on the areas of Tax Consulting and Management Advisory Services within several industries: agri-business, construction, manufacturing, non-profit, professional services, real estate and closely held businesses and their owners.
Prior to joining H&M, Brian gained extensive audit and tax experience with regional firms in West Virginia, Virginia and New York. His responsibilities have included audits of regional banks and developing corporate strategy, business planning and corporate and individual tax planning.
Brian is an alumnus of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration majoring in Finance and Accounting. Brian sits on various boards and is currently the president of the Union County Board of Developmental Disabilities and treasurer of the Community Improvement Corporation of Union County. In addition to board participation, Brian is a frequent presenter at various tax education seminars for clients and other professional associations, including the Conway Center for Family Business events. Brian is also a writer and contributor for Ohio’s County Journal.

Bradley H. Ridge
Brad currently serves as a Director for H&M and has been with the firm since 1982, primarily focusing on Tax, Management Advisory Services, and business and individual financial planning. He is also a fiduciary based wealth planning advisor and is the Managing Member of H&M Financial Advisors.
Brad’s professional experience prior to joining H&M was with the international firm Deloitte. Brad has expertise in working with large and small businesses in the industries of manufacturing, agri-business, healthcare and professional services. He is especially skilled at working with closely held businesses and their owners. Because businesses and individuals have different needs at different stages of their lives, Brad enjoys the challenge of providing financial planning and wealth management advice to everyone from baby boomers to young people.
Brad is a true buckeye, holding his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. He is active in the community and is the Past Chairman of the Board of Marion General Hospital, Past President and current Board Member of the Marion General Hospital Foundation, Past Board of Directors and Financial Committee – Ohio Health – member of Hospitals: Riverside, Grant & Doctors in Columbus. He is also the Past President and a past Board Member for the Marion Area Chamber of Commerce. A desire to help others always drives Brad. He is involved in various leadership activities at his church and he enjoys participating in International faith-based missions to Honduras and Haiti and leading mission funding for activities in multiple countries.

Pete C. Rife
Pete Rife is the firm’s Director of IT Audit. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Pete graduated from Ridgedale High School in Marion Ohio before attending The Ohio State University. He formed Zero One Communications, a technology integration and consulting firm which specialized in system design and deployment. During his years at Zero One Communications, he delivered solutions to a variety of industries including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, governmental, and institutional clients. In 1998 Pete joined the technology consulting practice of Holbrook & Manter. Working with Holbrook & Manter, Pete has developed a technology management practice focused on providing medium enterprise clients with CIO-level advisory services. His recent client projects include extensive work in the healthcare and financial services sectors for several 500M+ companies across the US.

- Managed all aspects of technology for the build and move of a new community hospital. Responsible for all technology requirements from design to build. Managed move of all clinical departments into new facility.
- Managed a complete hospital pharmacy automation for a Lutheran Hospital Network hospital. LHN is an 8000+ employee hospital in the publicly traded CHS hospital group.
- Managed the deployment of a 20+ site MPLS WAN (Wide Area Network) for a 300+ million energy company in central Ohio.
- Design and deployment of a complete new network infrastructure for a worldwide manufacturer of heavy equipment.
- Numerous projects regarding internal control and information security. Audits types include review of relevant compliance requirements including HIPAA, SOC 1, SOC 2, SOX and other regulations. Information Security policy development and awareness training are often included in these engagements.
- Managed a complete software conversion and migration for a regional financial services firm. The project included database migration, SAN deployment, and WAFS (Wide Area File System) hardware for application acceleration and moving all infrastructure into a level 4 data center.

Shannon Robinson
Shannon has been with Holbrook and Manter since 2006. She is a key member of the Audit and Accounting team. Shannon is dedicated to providing clients with superior service in the areas of consulting, auditing, review, compilation, general accounting, and non-profit tax preparation. Shannon has over 15 years of experience focusing on audit services for governmental and nonprofit entities and small to medium size businesses, focusing on non-profit and manufacturing audits.
Shannon graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 2016. She is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Shannon is a 2021 graduate of Marion Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Marion Class. She currently serves as a volunteer board member and finance committee member for River Valley Baseball for Youth, a local non-profit organization. She recently completed two two-year terms as a deacon at her church.
Stephen C. Smith
Stephen C. Smith CPA, CGMA, MBA, CVA, a Principal at Holbrook & Manter, rejoined H&M in 1998 and he became an owner during 2004. Stephen was previously an H&M intern for a couple of summers while in college. Stephen’s current roles primarily include leading the Business Services & Solutions Team as well as assisting with the Management Advisory Service Areas, concentrating on the firm’s Consulting and Business Development as well as the Business Valuation Services. Stephen’s industry concentration and passion areas include manufacturing, construction, professional services and actively working with closely held businesses.
Prior to joining H&M, Stephen gained extensive diversified management experience for a publicly traded $150+ million international manufacturing Corporation of life support systems and products. His responsibilities included finance, accounting, Security Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable and other controllership and management oversight functions. Stephen is also an alumnus of Deloitte, where he was recruited out of college and spent approximately five years gaining extensive management, audit, tax, consultancy and SEC experiences.
Stephen is an alumnus of The Ohio State University where he graduated with a BSBA majoring in Accounting and concentrating in Finance. Stephen is also is a Capital University MBA graduate. Stephen is frequently asked to sit on various boards and has been an active board member over the years. He is currently the co-chair of Allinial’s Manufacturing and Distribution community of practice. Stephen is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).

Seth V Taylor
Seth joined Conrad, Leibold, Woerner & Co. in October of 2018 and has been with the Holbrook & Manter team as tax director since the two firms joined in 2021. He has over 30 years of financial and accounting experience and currently serves his clients in a variety of industries including agriculture, professional services, real estate and other closely held businesses.
Seth is a graduate of North Union High School who started his career in 1992 with Holbrook & Manter when they operated as Holbrook, Manter, Nichols, & Rogers. He has also practiced in Cincinnati and Columbus. After spending several years as a corporate controller at a manufacturing company in Lewis Center, he joined Richwood Bank as chief financial officer, and from there went back to his roots in public accounting.

Mark A. Welp
As an Audit Principal and Certified Public Accountant and 16+ years’ experience, Mark specializes in leading and performing annual audits and reviews of company financial statements across a diverse client base. Mark’s abilities extend beyond the basic assurance services with his background as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). As a CFE, Mark provides a wide range of services from internal control evaluations to forensic examinations. Mark joined the firm in 2014.
Prior to joining H&M, Mark worked for a local accounting firm in Columbus and in the audit division of Ernst & Young, LLP. At E&Y, Mark worked on integrated audits for large SEC issuers, including Limited Brands, Cardinal Health, and Park National Bank. While working on these large engagements, he gained experience performing control testing under the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley 404.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree from Otterbein University. He received his Master of Accounting degree from The Ohio State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) He is also a Member of OSCPA Peer Review Committee and is approved as a SOC Reviewer Specialist. He serves as the current chair of the OSCPA Peer Review Committee. He is the past Technical Peer Reviewer for the Peer Review Committee of the OSCPA and the past treasurer of the Columbus Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
