The Ohio Department of Taxation has decided to delay their tax filing deadline, following in the footsteps of the IRS and the federal government. Ohio taxpayers will now have until May 17, 2021 to file and pay their Ohio individual income and school district taxes for tax year 2020.

This now puts all filing deadlines on May 17, 2021 and like the IRS, Ohio has decided to waive penalties on tax due payments during this extension. There will also be no interest charges on payments during the extension period.
