The official start to the 2023 tax season is creeping up quickly. The Internal Revenue Service has named Monday, January 23, 2023 as the first day they will begin taking and processing 2022 tax returns.

Other important deadlines announced by the IRS include April 18, 2023 which will be the deadline to file. Those seeking an extension to file will have until October 16, 2023 to do so.
