H&M and United Way of Union County – Give Back…
Free Seminar for local nonprofit groups
The United Way of Union County in collaboration with Holbrook & Manter, CPAs is hosting an informational seminar regarding the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) Form 990 return of organizations exempt from income tax.
Topics will include: how the Form 990 has become more than just an exercise in compliance with the IRS, what the executive directors and board members should focus on when reviewing their 990, and finally how to read and interpret the Form 990 and what it tells the reader. Also presenting will be a representative from the IRS who will cover the IRS requirements of nonprofit organizations and what can trigger an audit.
Both Executive Staff Members and Board Members of nonprofit organizations are encouraged to attend this event, especially those who oversee the finances for their organization. Since Holbrook & Manter, CPAs is sponsoring this event, there is no cost to attend.
All nonprofit organizations operating in Union County are invited to this seminar which will be held on Nov. 9 from 8:00 until 10:30 am with registration starting at 7:30 am. It will be held at the Union County Services Building in conference rooms A and B.
Holbrook & Manter will provide a continental Breakfast for all attendees. If you are planning to attend, please contact Lisa Decot at Holbrook & Manter before Nov 4 at 937.644.8175 or ldecot@holbrookmanter.com to reserve your spot.
